The game board is dated 1948 and the box shows copyright dates of 1948, 1949 and 1953. It is all original and in the original box. There are 100 wooden game (letter) tiles, 4 wooden stands for holding the tiles and a gameboard. The game rules are printed inside the lid of the box. Please Note: There are faint “spots” showing in the photos, at least on my computer; these are from my camera and they are not on the game or box. Please be sure to read the “Condition” and “Approximate Dimensions” paragraphs below. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. It is in good used condition, is approximately seventy years old, and comes from a smoke free home. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of these items. I see age-related signs of use and wear to the box (and a large chip out of the paper on the underside of the box) and to the game board. There is also some age-related minor soiling and staining to the game board and the paper on the very inside at the fold of the game board is starting to split a bit, but does not appear to be in any danger of coming apart. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. Approximate Dimensions The box is about 14.75” (37.5 cm) long by about 7.625 (19.4 cm) wide and about 1.5” (3.8 cm) in total thickness. Approximate Weight About 1 pound 5.5 ounces (609 grams) for the complete game and box. SALES TAX Depending on which state you live in eBay may add State Sales Tax on your purchase.
