Description [Used] Gibson / SG Special Cherry (1970s) [2.87kg] Gibson Electric Guitar Vintage [S/N 968658] This is a Gibson SG Special (1973-75) with a block position mark and 3-piece neck that was produced from 1972 to 1977. It has a mahogany body, a 3-piece mahogany neck with a volute, a rosewood fingerboard with a slim nut, 2 mini humbuckers mounted on a special escutcheon, a 1-ply pickguard, triangle metal pegs, and an overall 70s feel. The bridge and tailpiece have been changed, and one Vol pot has been replaced. There are signs of use (repair marks on the body crack near the control area, scratches and scuffs, scuffs and streaks from playing, picking marks, buckle marks, cloudy metal parts and screws, bits and rust, and other exterior damage). Upon arrival, the instrument was set up (cleaned, strings replaced, rod adjusted, octave adjusted, and string height adjusted), the frets are at a height that does not affect playability, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the tightening and loosening directions and has been confirmed to work up to ±60°. *As this is a used item, there may be scratches and dents from use that are difficult to see in photos.
