Genuine Late 40’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Chronometer Bubbleback Solid 18K Rose Gold Engine Turned Bezel Stainless Steel Case California Dial Ref.5045 with Cromwell Expandable Riveted Bracelet. Good Pre-owned Condition. This is a genuinely rare example of a solid rose gold engine turned bezel and stainless steel case Rolex bubbleback from late 40’s. The Rolex original salmon California dial has been professionally restored at some time in the past with matching Mercedes handset showing a beautifully warm patina. The solid 18K rose gold engine turned bezel is in good condition, new old stock 18K rose gold Oyster winding crown screws down tightly to the case tube. Overall the 32mm case shows some signs of wear and minor corrosion on case back from use over the past 70 years. Stamped reference# 5045 and serial number 65xxxx marked between the opposite lugs places the approximate date of production on 1949. The original Rolex signed Chronometer grade NA 630 movement running smoothly and keeping good time, however it has not been machine/time tested and service history unknown, so we can’t guarantee accuracy of vintage watch as they may need cleaning or servicing. Vintage watches may gain or lose a small amount of time per day as they do not keep quartz accuracy. This bubble back watch comes on a vintage Cromwell rose gold filled & stainless steel expandable riveted bracelet. Total 11 links, length is about 6 inches without stretch, links can expands to approx. 8 inches wrist. All links are working fine, expand and withdraw smoothly. USED CONDITION.
