Description Description: The FT-7900R provides 50 Watts of power on the 144 MHz band, and 40 Watts on the 430 MHz, and is designed for simplicity of operation along with high performance in the receiver section. The FT-7900R is ideal for the active Ham who has a need for simplex, repeater, or FM satellite operation on both bands, but without the complication of cross-band repeat capability, which is available on our FT-8800R and FT-8900R models. Features: – 50W/45W high power, stable performance. With Japanese RD70HVF1 power amplifier, it provides 50W output on 144 MHz, and 40 Watts on 430 MHz – Long communication distance. City 1-15KM, mountainous area 10-20KM, plain 15-30KM (data is for reference only, actual distance may vary due to different environments) – Large LCD display. The large backlit LCD on the FT-7900R ensure excellent visibility – Temperature controlled fan, automatic protection. The main body shell has a DC heat sink and is equipped with a temperature-controlled cooling fan. When the temperature rises to the factory preset value, it will automatically reduce the transmission power, control the circuit temperature within a safe range, and prevent the radio from overheating – Automatic shutdown, energy saving and power saving. In order to prevent you from forgetting to shut down when you leave your car, the radio can automatically shut down within a specified time without any operation, saving electric quantity.
