WELCOME TO MY LISTING OF THIS,LOVELY 1889 LARGE SOLID SILVER & GILT DOUBLE ENDED SCENT,VINAIGRETTE FLASK BY HIGHLY COLLECTED SILVERSMITH WHO IS,JOHN NEWTON OF MAPPIN & WEBB,WITH LONDON HALLMARKS FOR 1889.(Don’t mistake this for the normal or smaller size available)This is a beautiful,not too mention large double ended scent,vinaigrette flask with lovely repousse worked lids with both ends still retaining a good proportion of their gilding and one having a slight impression,otherwise its got nothing less than you would reasonably expect to see for a piece of its age and type and should still be classed as very good condition. It comes with highly stylised initials to the cartouche on their lids and has good crisp decoration and hallmarks and measures,17 cm in length by 3.5 cm in diameter and weighs,182 grams in its entirety.
