Availability: In Stock Condition: Brand New Brand: SSI Part No: SSI-CUMM5.98802-BILCOVKITWill fit ALL Models with VE44, P7100 Pumps. For VP44 it can be fitted but grinding is required or P7100 conversion.Fits the 1989 to 2002 model year of Cummins Diesel (2500, 3500. D250, D350, W250 & W350) with exception of 1998 1/2 to 2002 trucks with VP44 injection pump. Rear Bracket for pump must have top bolt head cut off for proper clearance and grinding to the bracket to clear plate. You can also remove rear support bracket and no modification is needed. We do not recommend this or encourage leaving the pump unsupported in the back, but it does work per many of our customers.LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! Heavy Duty Billet will never bend or deform like the factory stamped covers. Precision engineered and CNC machined for a perfect fit and seal. Fits both 12v and 24v engines. Includes High Temp Oil Resistant FKM perimeter gasket. Includes x6 High Temp Oil Resistant FKM mounting bolt seals. Comes with Brand New Stainless Steel mounting bolts. This new leak free FKM o-ring billet cover comes with every part needed for basic installation. We recommend installing a catch can with any tappet cover that does not have a baffle setup. Factory covers have a baffle and then just dump the crankcase air out a tube and onto the ground, which leaves puddles of oil over time. If you install a catch can, you can simple pour the oil trapped in the can back into the engine and will leave no oil drips on concrete (which is a much better setup than what came OEM). If you are planning a timing cover or valve cover vent setup, we have no hole plates for this purpose so you will not have to plug the vent holes on a tappet cover. While both FKM and other seals both serve as great sealing options at moderate temperatures, FKM is far superior to other seals for high temperature applications. FKM seals provide an indefinite seal for temperatures up to 400°F, and for temperatures up to 600°F they offer an excellent seal for more than 48 hours. Valve seals made of non-FKM materials, such as Poly, are only effective up to 250°F.These are brand new production seals. FKM has good flexibility like Nitrile, which means it can handle some run out between the valve stem and guide. It is also considered to be a more durable material than silicone.
