For sale is a gorgeous Breitling Chronomat, reference D13050.1 with a white dial and a 18k yellow gold bezel. The white dial has a tachymeter and matching gold colored hands, indexes, and outlines on the sub dials. It makes for a quite luxurious combination in an otherwise practical watch. Powered by the ETA 7750, probably the most popular chronograph movement on the planet, and known to be robust but also easily serviceable by most watchmakers. Honestly, if you’re in the market for a modern Chronomat, I’ll challenge you to find a better looking example. Comes with the original all stainless steel bracelet reference 1094. It has 5 links on one side with 1 removable, and 5 on the other with 2 removable. It measures 18.5cm (7.2″) from lug to lug and should comfortably fit a wrist circumference of up to 19.5cm (7.5″). There’s hardly any imperfections even under extreme close ups. Printing is sharp without any damage, indexes are all clean and so are the hands. Lume on the dial and hands is intact. It charges bright under a UV light and keeps the charge. Sapphire crystal is free of scratches or marks. The case and bracelet have the normal light scratches and tiny dings from use. Nothing major that catches the attention though. Gold bezel is also fairly clean with minor scratches and rotates counterclockwise with a strong click. It has a few little dings around the edges that on the photos look gigantic, but in reality they’re barely visible. Case back has minor damage in the tool holes with the stamps sharp and intact. Movement has been recently serviced so it’s clean and keeping good time. The crown screws and unscrews correctly. Time setting is smooth. Date advances automatically every 24 hours or via the first position on the crown. Chronograph starts, stops, and resets correctly. Chronograph minute and hour counters also work as intended. Rotor rotates freely without any rubbing. Timegrapher results show that it’s gaining 7 to 15 seconds per day depending on the position, with a strong amplitude and almost no beat error. It was disassembled, cleaned, oiled, and reassembled by an independent watchmaker with 25+ years of experience. Waterproof The watch is rated at 100m, but that doesn’t mean you can take it diving or even swimming immediately. The gaskets will have to be checked by a watchmaker and the watch tested in a pressure chamber to make sure it’s within specs.
