Comes with an ADE RD3-028 Ares Motion Awake RED dot sight, a picatinny plate(pre-assembled), and an optic mounting plate designed to fit 1911 pistols with standard Novak(does NOT fit Novak OVERSIZE) rear sight cut by replacing the factory rear sight on standard NOVAK dovetail.1911s have several different rear sight dovetail cuts, such as Colt(G.I.) Standard, LPA, Novak standard/traditional and Novak Oversize rear sight. This ADE Optic Plate made by ADE is for Novak Standard/traditional rear sight ONLY. It does NOT fit any 1911 that does NOT has a traditional Novak rear sight. Please confirm with your pistol manufacturer what rear sight you have before purchasing.This optic plate for Novak Does NOT fit any Novak cut that is NOT GENUINE/traditional/true Novak rear sight cut, such as some Taurus 1911 and some Ruger 1911 who use Licensed Novak rear sight but created their own sizes cut.Minor modification to the sight base may be necessary for some 1911s including Rock Islands, Citadels, and GSG 1911 .22s. While it is possible to install this mount without the use of a gunsmith, we recommend hiring a qualified gunsmith. Please note. Unprofessional installation will result in screw loose, not holding zero, damage to the firearm/optic and personal injury.One of the advantage of this ADE plate over others is this optic plate has a CURVED/CONCAVED design that will sit flush(wrap the top curved pistol slide) on the top of the pistol. ADE RD3-028 Ares Pro is equipped with the Motion Activated System. While the Ares Pro is turned on, the red dot illumination goes to sleep after five minutes of inactivity, but when any motion or vibration is detected, it instantly switches on illumination at the previous brightness setting. Users also have the option to manually turn the red dot power off to disable the Motion Activated System. The overall length is longer than traditional red dot, therefore it only fits on the optic plate that sits ABOVE the slide( typically the plates replacing the rear sight). It does not sit into pistol slide with a milled optic cut because those cuts are typically made for red dots with standard length. The dimension for Ares is 1.84″ length x1.30″ width x1.15″ height ADE RD3-028 Ares Pro is designed with a removeable Weather Shield that protects the sight from moisture and provides a clearer sight picture during inclement weather.
