Two Strippers are commonly used to properly strip coat, especially on matted dogs- Lower number (Coarse) blade tools (6, 8, 10, 12) are commonly used for prep work, thinning of coat and then coat is “finished off” with a 16 or 20 (Fine) blade tool. For example, if you use a 6 or 8 blade first you would finish with a 16 blade tool.
