Graveyard Dirt by Everyone’s Secret Spirit Graveyard Dirt by Everyone’s Secret Spirit – The Yorkshire Wiccan, Crafting Handmade Artifacts Click images to enlarge Description Everyone’s Secret Spirit 10ml Graveyard Dirt Vial can be used in binding, as an ingredient in the use of poppets, to create goofer dust as well as in spells of protection and love. Graveyard dirt is commonly used in Samhain rituals to honour the dead or during tarot readings to assist with communication. It can also be used at crossroads when trying to decide between paths. Some use it in the garden to pay respect to the life cycle and encourage growth. Other uses include home protection or as a symbol of new beginnings. Graveyard dirt, as a ritual, would be used symbolically within the usual practice of that ritual. For example, with a Samhain ritual, the dirt would be cast at the perimeter of the magic circle. During tarot readings, the dirt would be kept in a drawstring back as a talisman. Equally, in symbolic fashion, casting the dirt across your garden would pay honour to it, at a representation of crossroads for the required effect there. As a protection talisman, a drawstring bag would be used again to fashion the dirt as a talisman.
