ONE 1-ounce bottle of THICK Viscosity GEL CA “Super Glue” PLUS a 2-ounce bottle of ACTIVATOR! HYPERBOND brand by CA-Plus adhesives – sold by Rabid Models This Super Glue comes in a “pin-cap” bottle, which help prevent clogs, and seals well to provides the best shelf life. Shake well before use! The applicator nozzle has a screw-on cap. GEL CA is clear and almost the same consistency as toothpaste – since it’s a gel, it won’t run. This means it stays where you put it and can be used on vertical surfaces. It works great on very rough items like unpolished stone, rough ceramic, coral, concrete and the like. Activator is not needed but may be used as a “pretreatment” on surfaces to speed the cure. GEL CA takes much longer to dry than regular CA, making it really handy for jobs where you need extra working time. It can be used to fill large gaps or glue together items that are rough or don’t fit together very well. Regular CA doesn’t work well in those cases. The activator can be used as a “pre-treatment” and will help the glue cure much faster. You can spray it on afterwards as well, to make the glue skin over so it can be handled much more quickly. GEL CA can be even used underwater – it can be used to attach live coral and other decorations inside of fish tanks. Use it to glue and mount coral frags and colonies to reef rock or plugs. This glue is non-toxic to marine life. It can be used underwater! (see directions below) Note: For best results, use as little glue as possible! CA is meant to be pressed between surfaces. One dab per square inch! Shake the product into the nozzle before dispensing. Press between surfaces and hold tight. Refrigerate for longest shelf life. Keep out of the reach of children. Directions to adhere frags, coral colonies, or for general aquascaping underwater: first test-fit the item onto the mounting site. Make note of the parts that are making contact. Retrieve the item and while it is not submerged, place a small amount of Gel CA to each contact point. Quickly put the item into place. A skin will form over the glue upon contact with the water – press the item down and break the “skin” of the glue, then hold firmly in place for at least 15 seconds. Check the the item is secure. If it is not, repeat this process to build up a little more glue on the site. All done – let it set for 24 hours to cure and reach full strength.
