Rare Opportunity – Vintage 1990 Premier Hockey Beckett Issue #1*Wayne Gretzky Front Cover – Patrick Roy Back Cover Open Case of 74 total Beckett Hockey #1 Issues * I am missing one issue from the case – No clue what I did with it. This came directly from Beckett and the issues have never been out of the box until now for photos. It is very obvious even to a novice that these magazines have never been touched or read. Brand new!Other than the top issue – none of these have ever seen the light of day. Crisp and Clean. No creases, tight bindings – grade worthy *Truth be told I had to know what I was selling and give a fair representation of condition. I have carefully removed the magazines from the case and hesitant to put them back in the case for shipping. I will obviously send the box case empty so you have it but thinking the best way to preserve these beautiful #1 issues would be to bag and board in group of 2 or 4 per bag with a board. I would tape the boarded lots together to ensure they do not move during shipment. CGC GRADINGMany high grade issues here for grading. I wish I had the time and money to sit on these and have them graded but according to my bill collectors I don’t have time. I need to raise some cash and I strongly believe my ask is very fair. The only other comparable listing on eBay for a Case of Beckett Hockey #1 is (100 ct) The seller is asking $38,000 CGC Graded 9.8 are going for $200 ea. – 1 as high as $329 CGC 9.4 – 9.6 are bringing $50 – $100 ea. CGC 9.0 are bringing $25 – $50 ea. IF YOU CAN AFFORD THE PROCESS SITTING ON THESE AND GRADING – THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE NO BRAINER!JUST 4 OF THESE GRADE 9.8 AND YOU’VE PAID FOR THE LOT! My lot is 1 short of a full case (75) Total is 74 issues for this lot.* I sincerely apologize when I took the photos it says 75 on some sticky notes – the total is 74 My ask is only $10 per issue = $740 If you have the funds and time to grade – there is a killing to be made here!!!!!! I have been selling magazines for over 15 years and feel comfortable with my experience eyeballing a prospective grade. I diligently studied all CGC listings on ebay to brush up on this particular issue. *Please take advantage of the magnifier to make your own condition assessments. 9.8 I pulled (31) issues I feel would be a strong contender for very high grades * I mentioned that I misplaced a magazine. I originally counted 32 and took photos.Some of the photos of 9.8 qualifiers say 32 but the actual correct # is (31) 9.4 / 9.6 : I pulled 22 issues I felt would be in this range 9.0 : (up/down) – I pulled 21 issues I felt would be in this range. High as 9.2 and only a handful that may dip below a 9 My assessment totals:(31) 9.8 (22) 9.4 / 9.6(21) 9.0 up/down 74 total magazines If just 4 of the magazines come back 9.8 you will pay for the lot cost alone at the current average sold price of $200. The next 70 magazines would be pure profit.My honest assessment is that 30+ issues will contend for a coveted 9.8 grade I WILL WORK WITH ANY PROSPECTIVE BUYER – MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS HOW TO SHIP THESE AND MAKE SURE THE CONDITION OF THE ISSUES ARRIVES A NICELY AS PICTURED.
