eBay [Literature] ~ NEWBOLT, Henry Aladore Edinburgh and London. William Blackwood and Sons, 1914. Quarto. Limited edition, 150 copies on hand-made paper, of which this is number 30. xiv, 361pp, [1]. With 15 plates with collotype illustrations from drawings by Lady Hylton. Uncut in original publisher’s vellum, ruled and lettered in gilt, T.E.G. Extremities a trifle discoloured. Endpapers browned, contemporary inked ownership inscription to recto of FFEP. Signed by the author on limitation page. The first, limited, edition of a quest fantasy, highly reminiscent of the romances of William Morris, by poet and writer Sir Henry John Newbolt (1862-1938).
